Linguini & Clam Sauce

How about something simple and quick for dinner?

This recipe is often requested by all who have ever consumed. It is perfect for a week night because it is so easy to make and inexpensive to feed a family.

Please know I am not a fan of canned meats, but chopped clams are actually pretty good! Plus if you have a budget this is a great menu option to insert into your rotation. Serve with a salad or broccoli and you are set with a quickness.


1 lb Linguini
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 cans of chopped clams, drained and juice reserved
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
1/4 cup Italian parsley, finely chopped


Cook pasta according to directions.

In a small sauce pan, melt butter or margarine over medium heat. Add garlic and infuse butter for about 3 minutes.

Add clam juice from drained cans and lemon juice and bring to a light boil. Add clams, cook for 2-3 minutes and remove from heat.  

Mix cooked pasta, clam sauce, cheese and parsley well. EAT IT!
