Nutty Teriyaki Chicken and Green Beans

I hate this dark weather. I have yet to perfect the inside picture. This picture doesn’t do this dish justice….so I guess I will have to paint a picture for you.

Think teriyaki chicken; add garlic and honey, lemon infused green beans, peanuts and a little bit of noodles - sweet and bold yumminess. You could actually lose the noodles and reduce sauce if you want. I added noodles for the kids.

1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 lbs green beans, trimmed
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
1/2 cup roasted peanuts, lightly chopped
1 cup yakisoba noodles, precooked

In a small bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, honey, butter, pepper and garlic. Set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add vegetable oil, lemon juice, green beans and onion powder and sauté for 3 minutes. Cover and cook for 5 more minutes – remove from pan.

Add sesame oil and chicken to the pan and sauté over medium high heat for about 5 minutes.

Add teriyaki mixture, peanuts, green beans, noodles and toss. Cook on low until warmed through for about 3 minutes.
